A motel with everything $$, lifestyle & a fantastic family home
There are few motels that offer such spacious accommodation both for guests and for the owners. The Livingston was established in the mid 90s and obviously at that time size mattered! All 15 ground floor suites are very spacious and most offer the luxury of either private spa pool or spa bath.
The presentation throughout is faultless with every aspect of maintenance addressed to a high standard. The complex was painted 2 and a half years ago, with new furniture - sofas, beds, bedding & carpets also being upgraded just 2 years ago. New TVs were added 3 years ago.
* 1 x 2 bedroom apartment
* 4 x 1 bedroom suite
* 10 x studio units in a variety of 2 x standard, 2 x spa bath, 6 x executive studios.
The complex was built in 1996 with a brick facade, colonial style, high pitched roof of metal tiles and aluminum joinery. The grounds are fully sealed with ample parking for both cars and boats, with easy care, attractive planting round the perimeter. Everything is immaculate. Entry to the reception is inviting through a covered, tiled foyer.
It is very hard to find quarters of this size and quality. The 3 upstairs bedrooms are all very spacious with plentiful wardrobe space. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the family bathroom offers a spa bath.
The current owners have established a very strong clientele over their 8 years and have grown their corporate market significantly through their association with Host Accommodation. The business itself is returning year in, year out a very good net profit. The current owners have consistently spent money on maintaining and upgrading their motel.
Whakatane also has a very significant business and corporate market year-round through companies such as Fonterra, Norske Skog Tasman, Allied Industrial Engineering and of course - the burgeoning boat building industry.
The value of tourist attractions such as the "live' volcano - White Island, cannot be underestimated.
